Pub quiz where the prize is the pub
The prize for winning most pub quizzes is a round of drinks, or if you are lucky a few quid, not so here ... you could win the entire pub.The Plash Inn - worth around £320,000 - is being offered as the prize in the ultimate pub quiz by owners Steve and Christie Goymer.
Would-be pub bosses can buy one of 30,000 £20 entries to the quiz which will consist of just four questions and a tie breaker.
The winner will get the west Wales pub which even comes complete with a holiday cottage ... unfortunately that is also in Wales.
Steve and Christie say they do not have the time required to run the boozer anymore because they look after their disabled six-year-old son Ioan.
They tried putting the pub - on the Carmarthenshire/ Pembrokeshire border - up for sale last year but have not had any takers.
Steve says this is why they are trying the unusual competition: "This way, in the current financial climate, anyone interested in acquiring the Pub can have a go, for little outlay and, if successful, have no mortgage."
