Are wigs for dogs a barking mad idea?
Bringing a new meaning to the phrase "Doggy Style" a company in California has started selling wigs for dogs.Total Diva Pets produce the wigs which are made specifically to fit your pooch and range from an Afro to a blonde bob.
The pet wigs are the brainchild of sisters Jenny and Crissy Slaughter. Several years ago the pair tried to find hairpieces for their dogs to wear in a parade, but were unable to find any that fitted.
As a result they made their own, and say the response they got was so good they decided to go into business ... who knew seeing people pointing and laughing meant you have a successful business idea.
"We came up with our own creative design for dog wigs that turned out so cute, people wanted to buy them," said Crissy."We realized that creating wigs made for pets was an unusual concept, but soon discovered a market for our wigs."added Jenny.
They now have eight wig designs with comfortably lined ear holes and an adjustable elastic strap. The dog wigs come in five sizes to cater for everything from a Chihuahua to a to Great Dane.
