1-in-4 would take pay cut to live in countryside
25 percent of Brits would be willing to take a pay cut if it meant they could move to the countryside, it has been found.A recent survey discovered that 46 percent of us are tired with the rat race of living in a city and would like to escape to the country.
One-in-four said they would be happy to take a pay cut to achieve this and 15 percent fancy becoming a farmer… though 36 percent want to drive a tractor.
Other odd stats revealed include the fact that only ten percent of people have ever visited a farm, while a third say would like to learn more about where their food comes from.
Personally know exactly where our food comes from… the supermarket.
A spokesperson for Hovis, which commissioned the survey to mark the launch of their 'Slice of Farm Life' initiative, said they hoped it would prompt more people to visit farms and gain a better understanding of the journey wheat makes from field to loaf.
