Artist installs New York subway etiquette posters

275x250.jpg An artist is currently installing a series of posters in the New York subway, in a bid to improve people's behaviour.

Jayshells surveyed over 100 people about their pet-peeves when traveling on the NYC subway before narrowing them down to a top 10 list.

He then produced posters - on the topics which range from seating priority to noise pollution - telling people how he thinks they should act.

It is hoped the official-looking signs will make people question how they act on public transport -- but in odd news there isn't one about putting up your own posters.
275x250.jpg Speaking to newslite.tv Jayshells said: "We all have our Subway stories and our problems with the system. I decided to focus on some sociological issues that (many) people have within the NYC Subway system.

"I designed posters in the style of the Service Changes posters we see everyday and silkscreened about 40 of each and am currently putting them up on trains throughout the city, throughout this week.

"I encourage people to look out for them, and to take them before the MTA does. Not sure how much of a difference these will make, but so far, people seem to be enjoying them."
