Gadgets: iPhone Projector

I love the screen on my iPhone.

It’s great for browsing websites, playing games and it's pretty sweet for YouTube, films and other moving image stuff.

But, if you’re wanting to share the optical love it can get a little crowded around the 3.5 inch screen that the 3Gesus phone sports along with its iPod Touch sibling.

Up steps the QingBar MP101 projector dock from Honlai Technology to save the day like some small LED eyed super hero.

Although it is larger than the official iPhone/iPod Touch USB dock it is smaller than a lot of the projectors out there.

This one really caught my eye and I felt the need to share with you good people.

It’s my second week here so I feel that we are starting to bond.

The chance of getting my hands on legal mind-altering drugs, without the side-effects sounds good - and to achieve this through technology – well, that sounds too good to be true!

Now, the promise of  "proven, scientific and safe methods of synchronising your brainwaves" through pulses of binaural beats or sound waves has been an on-going thing since the ’30s.  I even went to a lecture about this a few years ago at the  Royal Institution.

SPOOKS: CODE 9 (BBC THREE, SUN 9PM) A silly, unnecessary extension of Spooks, exchanging its forbearer's exaggerated realism for pure speculative fiction. The premise is attention-grabbing, though: in 2013 London is hit by a nuclear bomb that kills thousands, forcing MI5 to relocate to the north and recruit 16-24 year olds to cover their losses. Britain's now in the middle of a (mild) dystopia and our future's in the hands of kids with great hair who shun dress codes...

Good news for you lot out there still umming and ahing about whether to get yourselves an Xbox 360 or not; especially if hard-disk space was one of the stumbling blocks.

Those generous types over at Microsoft have announced they are going to replace the 20GB Xbox with one that has triple the space on the drive whilst keeping the same £200 price tag!  Bless their little cottons!

The new 60GB model will be available from 15 August (tomorrow) and will replace all existing 20GB models in the UK!

TONIGHTLY (CHANNEL 4, MON-FRI 11.05PM) Another attempt to create a British version of The Daily Show, a decade after The 11 O'Clock show tried and failed -- although that late-90s attempt did bring us comedians Ricky Gervais and Sacha Baron Cohen (whose Ali G segments became the only reason to watch.) Tonightly is hosted by comedians Jason Manford and Andi Osho; funny, confident, appealing presenters. Indeed, everything good about the show comes from their smooth, pleasant delivery. Manford in particular can spin gold from the driest of comedy straw; such is his likeability and effortless rapport with Osho and the audience.
