Gadgets: Radio-controlled Boatank

200x175By Jay Garrett

Hello all!

Hope you didn't make yourself too ill with all the chocolate.

It's been fairly quiet in gadgety-land but there has been a few noteworthy occurrences.

It looks like the Zune HD could be real and also appearing in the UK later this year.  Acer's nettop, Revo, is out and ready for preorder and you'll soon be able to kit yourself out with a powerful exo-skeleton for the small sum of $4,200.
The most lovely story over the break has to be that of the little tweenbot trundling through New York being helped by passers-by. Beautiful!

It must be because the sun has been out and everyone seems to be getting happier, spending longer out-doors with beer-gardens and parks beckoning us at the weekend – what better to enjoy the peace and tranquillity than a radio-controlled tank?

Not just any tank – a totally gadgety one!

200x175This tank will not only fire BB rounds with a range of 30 metres it will also carry 4 cans of beverage (preferably cold and alcoholic!).

This tank is quite nippy thanks to it's electric motor and four-wheel drive traction.  It can tackle most obstacles such as rocks, loose dirt, gravel, grass, ponds, boating lakes.......

Whoa there!!

I said boating lakes?

Oh yeah!  This beauty can fold up its wheels at the touch of the remote and become a gun-toting boat (without the canned drinks I'm afraid) and switches to twin propellars for prepulsion.

I would love to get this on a beach!
