Okay so maybe this isn't the important bit of news coming out of Tripoli -- but rebel fighters have stolen the iconic hat worn by Colonel Gaddafi after smashing into his compound.

Appearing on Sky News proudly wearing the dictator's famous hat after storming the Bab al Aziziyah military compound buildings one rebel seemed most pleased with his haul.

He told reporter Alex Crawford he'd found the hat in Gaddafi's bedroom, saying: "I just went inside his bedroom and I was like 'Oh my God, I am in Gaddafi's room!' and then I found this and I was like 'Oh my goodness!'".

Other personal possessions swiped from Gaddafi’s compound included his jewellery, clothing and his personal golf buggy.
090124_twitter.jpgA US goalkeeper got a straight red after committing what some football fans are calling the "worst foul ever".

The Baltimore Blast keeper Sagu ran out of his net before pulling the two-footed lunge at the attacking player from La Raza de Monterrey.

Unsurprisingly he was issued with a straight red card and his team went on to lose 25-10 in the indoor match earlier this month.

Fans instantly dubbed it football's worst foul ever… but we think after this weekend Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey may disagree. Check out eight of football's worst fouls after the jump.
090124_twitter.jpgWhen Brazilian football commentator Zé Batista fainted on live TV while talking about an upcoming game last week, we felt sorry for him.

He had been chatting to a colleague about a match between Gremio and Sao Luiz when the 37°C heat in the studio got to him and after a few seconds of looking a bit queasy he collapses onto the floor.

But Zé Batista isn't on his own - oh no, a surprising number of TV presenters, news readers and performers have fainted on live TV.

Check out some of our favourite fainting falls after the link.
090124_twitter.jpgAn Australian weatherman was attacked by a pelican as he broadcast live from Sydney's Taronga Zoo.

Steve Jacobs was doing the morning weather bulletin on Nine Network at about 7am when the attack took place.

Marnie, a large male pelican, which was being fed by a zookeeper lunged towards the presenter as the cameras started rolling and proceeded to peck repeatedly at Steve's backside.

But by the look of these videos Steve got off lightly… other TV presenters have been the victim of bears, lions and dogs.
